The spirit of the Danube school of football (Dunamenti Iskola) tends to be paired with the blossoming coffee shop culture in the first decades of the 20th Century. We chatted about this connection with social historian and author Katalin Baráth in probably one of the most beautiful coffee houses in Budapest, the New York Café.
