FTC: World Cup third-place Germany's player was recommended; negotiation is still in progress

According to Nemzeti Sport's information, managers have recommended Marko Marin to multiple Hungarian clubs in recent weeks. He was on loan from al-Ahli Saudi FC to also a Saudi club, al-Raed.

The midfielder joined al-Ahli from Crvena Zvezda for 2.25 million Euros in January last year. However, according to press reports, the Saudi club still owes him a substantial sum, and that's why he left. He's been on free transfer since the summer and is looking for a team. As we know, he was recommended to Ferencváros, and negotiations are still ongoing between the Hungarian club and Marko Marin's representatives.

Ferencváros suffered a 2-1 defeat in the Europa League on Thursday by Germany's Leverkusen with only five field players on the bench due to suspensions and injuries. These could justify the expansion of the team, even though it is no longer possible to change the roster for the Europa League group stages. With Muhamed Bešić's arrival on Friday, the number of defensive midfielders has increased while the attacking line could be strengthened with Marin.

Born in former Yugoslavia, Marin became a football player in Germany. He played for Werder Bremen in 166 competitive games where he scored 13 goals and assisted 35 times. In 2012, Chelsea signed him (1 goal and 1 assist in 16 games, then he was on loan multiple times, including Sevilla (30, 2, 7) and Fiorentina (4, 2, 0). In the German national team, was on the pitch 16 times between 2008 and 2010 scoring one goal, assisting twice out of which one was against Hungary in 2010 at a friendly match (3-0). At the 2010 World Cup, he played two matches against Australia and Serbia and won a bronze medal with Germany.
