FIFA has published disciplinary decisions concerning the World Cup qualifiers in the fall. The list includes penalties for Hungary's home games in September, as well as penalties imposed after the England-Hungary (1–1) clash at Wembley Stadium on October 12. According to this, due to the disorderly conduct of the Hungarian fans, the board imposed a ban on an away meeting and a fine of 75,000 Swiss francs (71,000 EUR).
Shortly after the kick-off in London, a fight broke out in the guest sector between some fans and the police. According to a statement from the police, the "minor disturbance" erupted when officers entered the sector to arrest a fan who had racially abused a security guard. Order was restored in a short time.
The Hungarian national team will play its next away World Cup qualifier in Poland on November 15 in the final round of the qualifying series.
As known, in September, after the meeting against England at the Puskás Aréna (0–4), due to some Hungarian fans' behavior, FIFA ordered a closed-door home game and suspended another closed-door match for two years. FIFA also fined the Hungarian Football Federation 200,000 Swiss francs (188,000 EUR).
The Hungarian national team played their closed-door match in October, which they lost 1-0 to the guests, Albania.
Hungary, ranked fourth, will host San Marino on November 12 before the meeting in Poland.
