Euro 2020: Sigér revealed how to stop Cristiano Ronaldo!

Dávid Sigér talked about the selection principles, what could await the national team on the pitch against the favorites, and how the matches are comparable to Ferencváros' Champions League games in the fall where he also played against world-class players.

“The approach by which the head coach selects players who can then implement his ideas should be highlighted. For me and for those of us who came from Ferencváros, having experience against better players at the Champions League may be an advantage, which can now be used in the national team," said Sigér, who has already met Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal against Juventus.

“Every good player, including Cristiano Ronaldo, can be stopped as a team only. If one of us fails, there must be a partner to help. Ronaldo is a charismatic person, and with his posture, every move he makes he shows that he knows his abilities. He always wants to win; he's a great sportsman.”

Szabolcs Schön added that Ronaldo is a personal role model for him, and it would be a great pleasure to be able to play against him. However, the winger also considers every minute of his time in the national team a gift, and he knows it won't be his European Championship just yet.

"It's a great pleasure to be here and to be in the final squad. I'm very happy to have played even five minutes in the preparation matches. Every minute is a joy, no matter how much I play at the European Championship. I know it's not going to be my European Championship just yet. I'm young, I've got to build myself up," Schön said.

Sigér often and bravely take on long shots. We wondered if he would also perform a free kick.

“I'm certainly not doing a free kick, but you can expect that if the corridor opens, I'll do long shots, but stationary balls are different. There are a number of good players for that, and we'll see who'll perform them,” said the midfielder, who was also asked against which team the Hungarian team might have the best chance of earning points. “We want a goal, goals, a point, points, but we couldn't tell you against whom we have the biggest chance. I hope there will be one, but I'm looking forward to the game against Portugal for now.”

Regarding the previous European Championship, Schön and Sigér talked about watching the draw of 3–3 against Portugal on the outdoor projector in the fan zone which was already a great experience for them.
