"Thank you very much to our fans for the fantastic atmosphere they created today. I think the players deserved this with their performance in this game. We can say that we now have a team that will never give in," Rossi said at a press conference following the clash.
"Germany dominated the game for the most part, possessed the ball a lot, but we tried to high press, to take a risk. I think it went well, but it is true that we got the goal from this too ... it happens," he continued.
The Hungarian head coach also responded to the question of Nemzeti Sport about whether it is possible to have enough energy to clash with the best national teams in the world four times in just a few days.
"We always raise that bar higher, as the phrase goes...Obviously, our players still need to improve to compete with the biggest stars in every single game, we have to get to that level, but we are on the right track. We hope to get one or more points from England; that will be our goal."
Finally, the coach also reacted to the performance of Zsolt Nagy, the Puskás Akadémia player who scored his first national team goal.
"I always get a lot of criticism when I invite him, but he's a fantastic footballer, and he proved that today. The same goes for Attila Fiola. How did the two of them perform tonight? I don't wear a blindfold, do I?" Rossi finished his answer with a smile.
