NS Fundraising: Sportrádió raised two million forints in a span of two hours

 

The founder of the WonderFlora & CMT Foundation is Rita Drávucz, 4th-place Olympian, World and European champion water polo player. She was inspired by the case of her daughter Flóra, who is diagnosed with CMT, to represent the cause of families affected by the disease in an organized way.

Among the relics on offer was track and field athlete Balázs Baji's signed race number, which he wore when he won the bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships. Jerseys worn by Dominik Szoboszlai in the winning match against Real Madrid, András Schäfer, as well as by Ádám Hanga, Romelu Lukaku, and many others could also be bid for.

In the last two hours of the fundraiser, Tibor Szegő hosted in the studio Rita Drávucz, Zsuzsa Varga, president of the Board of Trustees, and Communications Director of the State Secretariat for Sport Viktor Tihany, and Creative Director Zita Szedmák.

One of the most touching moments of Sportrádió's existence was on Tuesday evening at 8pm when the bidding closed: in a span of two hours, two million forints were raised. At the end of the program, Rita Drávucz thanked everyone who contributed to this fundraising. She added that the actual amount collected for the Champions for Champions fundraising will be announced at a later event.

As a closing remark, Rita's daughter, Flóra, a helping hand, in the studio, said, "I would like to thank everyone for everything."
