Willi Orbán awaits the Hungarian team's last group match at the European Championship with special feelings because he was born and raised in Germany. He would like to surprise the German team with a good game, and so does Roland Sallai, who told his club teammate Christian Günter at Freiburg before the European Championship to prepare well for the match. The Hungarian team wants to win in Munich and the players promise that they will give it their all.

Roland Sallai assisted Attila Fiola's goal against France. He first revived that scene at the press conference in Telki.

"We've prepared a lot for such situations, just so that once we get an opportunity like this, we can take advantage of it. It was a sensational feeling when we took the lead. That's what we're trying to take with us to Germany to give us extra strength.”

He added that the reason they were so good physically in the match was that they had received excellent training from the staff. He said of the crucial meeting against the Germans that they would have to go out on the pitch with the same energy as in the first two games.

“We have to be alert, and play brave football by strictly following the tactical instructions. Sometimes, we were able to play forward against the world champions, and that's something we need to strengthen and also focus more on defense. During match, anything can happen, so we're going to go out there and try to win it. We can promise that we'll give it our all."

He also revealed that he had spoken to his club teammate Christian Günter at Freiburg before the European Championship:

"I told him to get ready for us!"

Nemzeti Sport first asked Willi Orbán how much he's looking forward to the match against Germany.

"Germany is a special opponent for me because I was born and raised there. Plus, it's a stake match. We'd like to surprise them with a good performance. There's no group at the European Championship more difficult than this, so it's a huge thing that we still have a chance of advancing to the knockout phase. I know the German players, some of them are my teammates at Leipzig, and, before the tournament, we even joked about which one of us will win the title."

Our colleague pointed out to him that although he was one of the most reliable players in the Hungarian national team, it seems as if he were unlucky at this European Championship. For example, the Portuguese' first goal bounced off him, they got a penalty due to his fault, and couldn't clear before the French scored.

“It's a bad luck to contribute to the goals of the opponent, but it's part of our job, and it could happen. That's why I congratulate my teammates who attacked on a world-class level, defended well, which is why we still have a chance to advance further."

In his opinion, the German national team is the most competitive in Group F.

“I mean that as mentally, in organization or in the quality of the players. They're pressing a lot, although that wasn't the case against the French. The Portuguese have had a harder time getting the ball. They defend together, they defend forward, which our attackers will have to pay attention to."

Orbán also revealed that Ádám Szalai had a doctor's appointment on Monday morning as well. It looks like he could be at the match against Germany on Wednesday.
